Chris Dixon is an established musician living in Newton, NC. He plays Bass Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Drums, Harmonica and Keyboards. He performs songs from as far back as the 50's through today's music, by artists such as The Eagles, The Temptations, The Drifters, Jimmy Buffet, Uncle Kracker and Elvis to name a few. Chris, a Bass Guitar player by trade played bass guitar for seven years for the Atlanta based band Spellbound, a full time band that performed as far away as Yokahama, Japan and played for such top companies as Kodak, Coca Cola and Disney World as well as some of the top Country Clubs in the country. Chris went into the studio and played the Bass Guitar and Drum parts to to all the songs he performs and then put them down on tracks. On stage he plays the Acoustic Guitar and sings live to his tracks, giving the sound of a three piece band.
Chris began playing the Acoustic Guitar when he moved from Atlanta to Newton to work for Corning Cable. Because he worked every other weekend he could no longer play Bass Guitar for a band. Playing music on stage is a passion he has had since childhood but because of his work schedule if he was to continue it would have to be as a solo artist. So he started taking Acoustic Guitar lessons and began learning his favorite songs from the past and present, and now has a wide variety of songs he performs on stage. No longer working for Corning Cable Systems Chris is free to pursue his music career and perform on a full time basis.
His show includes performing with a wireless headset microphone which allows him to go out into the audience while performing to get the audience involved in his show. Chris is an extremely volume conscious musician. All of his music is played at a volume as such not to interfere with the conversations of the persons sitting closest to his speakers. The volume will only be increased upon managements request. |
